The Announcements section is just intended to notify users of specific developments within the GulfTOPP site or data management system.  Because this section of the site is accessible to the public, these announcements will focus on the system itself, and not on the data or other aspects of the project protected under the confidentiality agreement.  For example, we might let you know that we've added a new publication to the database, or that we've updated the login system.

Our goal is to make this system as helpful and as easy to use as possible - and we are open to suggestions or ideas about how to do a more effective job.
